I celebrated my 28th birthday yesterday. To my insistence, I had a quiet and simple birthday celebration. I didn’t like to make a big fuss seeing that my husband has so much stuff to think of already. There were just two people (me and hubby) nevertheless, I truly enjoyed my 28th birthday.
Here are the gifts I got from my love ones. Most of these are given to me in advance as the givers can’t be present on the very day.
- Self-made birthday cards from my nephews back home.
- Birthday cards from my mom and my sisters.
- A Dove skin care set, a box of chocolates, and a comfy snow-white throw from my brother-in-law.
- A box of chocolates, assorted sweets, a birthday card and €€€ (generous shopping money) from my parents-in-law.
- A Calvin Klein make up set, a bunch of flowers, and €€€ (generous shopping money) from my hubby.
The money from my hubby is already spent on 2 sweaters, 4 tops, 1 sexy blouse, and a jacket (all from MANGO–I love this brand). The money from my parents-in-law is still not spent but I am planning to spend it on a pair of real good winter boots and a nice dress.
I appreciate everything I got—from the simplest but thoughtful birthday cards to the expensive and generous gifts. I also appreciate all the friends who greeted and wished me well on my birthday.
