I didn’t have much writing tasks to do last week so I decided to revamp some of my sites’ themes. I started with this one because the tweaks I wanted to do for this site are the easiest to do—I simply wanted to customized the theme’s color and header.
The header took a bit of work because of my limited Photoshop knowledge. It’s not exactly what I have in mind by that’s where my skills end. Anyway, based on what knowledge I have and the outcome, I am still quite proud of myself that I was able to do something like that.
Second was the color scheme and it didn’t take me a long time to decide which colors I like to use. I chose blue and brown because I am currently in love with these colors. Whenever we visit big furniture stores like KIKA, Lutz, and Liner, I always notice how frequent these colors are used in home furnishing. It’s actually one of the current color schemes when it comes to home trends and I imagine using the same colors in one of the rooms of our home some time soon.

These colors look nice when used in a room or furniture but I am not sure if I did the right color layout for my website. Color layout is also something I need to learn but right now I have to be contented with the results. I am still very new at this and although I already know a bit about customizing themes in wordpress and blogger, customizing a whole theme is something new to me and I am very determined to learn it.
This was the very first room we finished. Before moving in to this house, we made sure that we have the proper place for nature’s calls. Last week, we decorated it with real orchids so it has a little bit of tropical and Asian element (Looks very Japanese if you ask me). The toilet and the vanity set are from HORNBACH. The orchids’ pot is from China. We saw it in one of our moving boxes and I can’t really remember where we got it from. The floor tiles are of dark grey color and the wall tiles are plain white accentuated with an aluminum boudoir. We don’t have the know-how about tiles so we had the tile job done professionally.
